Dr. George Matsumoto is a senior education and research specialist at the Monterey Bay Aquarium Research Institute (MBARI). He studies the open ocean and deep-sea communities, with a special focus on invertebrates such as jellies. Matsumoto also has a strong interest in educational outreach. This summer he led an expedition on the E/V Nautilus to explore ancient history and learn about the ocean.
